ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION

Objectives of the Association

The Association’s primary aim is to promote the human, social and cultural values of immigrants, encouraging their participation in Basque society and supporting their holistic development.

We work towards social and labour market integration, creating employment and training opportunities that enable immigrants to enter the labour market on an equal footing. We pay particular attention to empowering immigrant women, creating support and collaboration networks that promote their autonomy and participation in all areas of social life.

We actively defend the rights of immigrants and fight against racism and discrimination in all its forms, promoting a fairer and more inclusive society. At the same time, we carry out solidarity and development cooperation initiatives, establishing links with other organisations and groups that share our objectives and values.

At the Association of African-American Residents of Vitoria-Gasteiz, we work to build a fairer, more caring and inclusive society. Our work focuses on supporting migrants and refugees, promoting their integration and active participation in the community. Through educational, cultural and social programmes, we seek to create real opportunities for personal and collective development. We believe in the value of diversity and the importance of fostering respect, coexistence and equal rights for all people. Our commitment is reflected in every initiative we launch, from providing support during the reception process to raising awareness of the realities of migration. We are driven by the conviction that a more united and diverse society is a stronger society.
